Christian Education

We welcome and invite all ages to gather for Christian Education. The Christian Education program occurs from September to June, with a break during the summer months.

Christian Education classes are places of friendship, faith formation, and hospitality. We strive to nurture children and youth by providing a safe, open and welcoming learning community. Adults are encouraged and challenged to grow in faith and faithful discipleship.

Children's Sunday School

Children's Sunday School is offered from 11am-12pm from September to June. This is a time for children to learn, pray, grow and play together. The MennoMedia "Shine" curriculum is being used this year.

Children are invited to collect a Coin Offering during the Worship Hour to support a special project they have selected and learned about.

Sunday School begins with children gathering to sing and/or participate in an activity together before going to their classes. The songs they learn are shared with the congregation during the worship service throughout the year, especially at Christmas and Easter.

A nut-free snack is provided in each classroom.

Junior Youth and Youth gather separately.

 Adult Education

We believe that the study of the Christian faith and our discernment of faithful discipleship are a life-long endeavour. The Adult Education program provides an opportunity to explore our beliefs and questions about the Bible, learn about our Anabaptist/Mennonite faith and identity, discuss current events, and consider a faithful response to a wide variety of issues.

Whether regular attenders or visitors, all are invited to join the conversation.

Our Adult Education program is tasked with supporting the vision of the congregation through a program of Adult Christian Education following Sunday morning worship. Classes are offered approximately three times per month, utilizing both congregational members and outside resource speakers. On non-class Sundays, casual conversation over coffee and refreshments encourages fellowship and community building.

A planning team consisting of the Adult Education Coordinator, and pastor, and other volunteers meet to plan, promote, organize, and implement the classes. The program year runs from September through June.
