Worship

We gather on Sunday mornings to worship, sing and pray. Services reflect the Anabaptist/Mennonite faith tradition as expressed and lived out in our current context.

A nursery is available for parents with preschoolers. Older children are invited to sit at small tables at the back of the sanctuary for quiet activities.

Following the service, everyone is invited to the Fellowship Hall downstairs for a time of visiting and coffee.

This is followed by Christian Education for children and adults.

Story Circle

Story circle invites children and youth to the front of the sanctuary to engage in the scripture or service theme.

Worship Music

Singing in four-part harmony accompanied by piano, organ or other instruments is a strong tradition at Erb Street Mennonite Church.

Many congregants, as well as some guest musicians, share their musical talents in our services. This includes singing by our Sunday School children, Banyamulenge Community members, and a choir for Christmas and Easter.

Offering

The children and youth select an offering project in September. On Sundays between September and June, following Story Circle, the children take up a collection to go towards the cause. The organization for 2025-26 is Food 4 Kids

Singing

Once a month, the children and youth lead the congregation in a song they have been working on in singing time.

Communion

Communion takes place during the worship service a few times each year. Children and youth are welcome to partake in a variation of communion.
