Leadership

The Church Council represents and serves on behalf of all members and congregants, seeking to live out the vision and mission discerned collectively.

Council oversees the life and ministry of the congregation, plans the Annual General Meeting and a variety of Congregational Forums throughout the year.

Church Council is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Pastor(s), and the Chairs of Elders, Worship, Christian Education, Property and Facilities, and Gift Discernment.  The Council meets monthly.

Elders serve as spiritual leaders, participating in the shared ministry of the church. They assist in nurturing and providing pastoral and spiritual care in all stages of life and collaborate with the Church Council in guiding the congregation in fulfilling its mission.

Elders assist the pastors in providing spiritual care to congregants in many ways:

  • participation in worship
  • congregational care together with a Visitation Team
  • assisting with baptism, reception of new members, and communion
  • administration of a Benevolence Fund.

They oversee the formation of Care Groups and identify Community Life Coordinators and Prime Timers Coordinators. An Elder also sits on Church Council.

The Worship Committee envisions and implements weekly services that remain rooted in Anabaptist-Mennonite traditions while staying creatively responsive to our modern context. By overseeing all service components and utilizing resources like the Voices Together hymnal, they ensure a prayerful environment that engages diverse learning styles and promotes communal spiritual growth.

The Christian Education Committee nurtures faith formation in children and youth by providing a safe, welcoming learning community guided by the congregation’s vision. They manage diverse programs—including Sunday School, youth events, and Vacation Bible Camp—while equipping teachers with Mennonite curriculum and supportive resources to foster spiritual growth.

The Property & Facilities Committee

The Gift Discernment Committee identifies and calls forth the unique talents of congregants to fill leadership positions and committee roles that empower the church’s mission. By maintaining regular contact with church leadership and engaging in personal discernment conversations, they foster a vibrant culture of volunteerism and purposeful involvement within the community.
